Churchyard Ramble
Saturday, 28th July at 10.30am
Join us on a guided walk around Illogan's "living churchyard" that shares its wildlife with the woodland next door.

We will learn how to identify the trees by their leaves and find out what wildlife lives amongst the log piles and the bramble thickets.
Meet at the entrance to the parish church.

 

Friday, 17^th September from 8.00pm

Come and join a local moth expert from Duchy College as we try to attract woodland moths and then listen to the bats that hunt them.

Suitable for all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult and all participants should bring along a torch.

Meet at the acorn seat in the centre of Maningham Wood.

 

Saturday, 2^nd October from 11am

Adults are welcome to come and help us check the nestboxes to see if they were used this year, and then to clean them out and re-erect them ready for next spring.  Not suitable for young children.

Please bring along some gloves and a ladder if you have one and meet at the entrance to the wood.

Bat Box Workshop
Saturday, 27^th November from 10.30am
Come and make a bat box to put up in your garden for local bats to shelter in.  We provide the materials, instructions, gloves and tools but you will need to bring an adult to help with the sawing and hammering. 
Suitable for children aged 7yrs and above but there are limited places so you MUST BOOK early!

The cost to cover the hall and the wood and nails for each box is £4.50 and you will be asked to send a deposit when you book your place.
